Present Perfect Mixed Practice Easy
A2 Level
English Exercises is teacher-led by Charlie. About the teacher · How content is made
Mixed exercises are valuable because they force you to identify which present perfect pattern is needed, rather than practising one pattern in isolation. In real communication and in exams, you never know which tense or structure will be required next — you need to read the context and decide. At A2 level, the key skills being tested are: forming the tense correctly (have/has + past participle), choosing the right helper verb for the subject, using common irregular past participles, and placing adverbs in the correct position. If you score above 80% here, you are ready for intermediate practice.
Quick Rule
subject + have/has (+ not/adverb) + past participle
- 1.I have already finished my homework. (completed action)
- 2.She hasn't eaten lunch yet. (negative with "yet")
- 3.Have you ever visited London? (experience question)
- 4.We have lived here for three years. (continuing situation)
- 5.He has just arrived at the station. (very recent action)
