About English Exercises
Who is responsible for this site?
Charlie is a British, TESOL-certified English teacher with 12 years’ experience teaching in middle schools, exam-preparation centres and online. English Exercises is a teacher-led collection of free interactive practice and printable discussion resources.
Editorial approach
Resources are selected around practical learner needs: understanding a language point, practising it, and learning from immediate feedback. Explanations and examples aim to use clear British English. Valid variants and fixed technical terms are kept and explained.
Exercises are assembled from topic briefs and question data, with answer variants and feedback recorded alongside the activity. CEFR labels are guidance for choosing practice, not a claim that every learner has the same level.
Checking and corrections
Content is checked against its learning aim and answer data. Automation helps with repetitive catalogue and consistency checks; it does not replace editorial judgement. We do not describe an individual page as reviewed by Charlie unless that recorded review has taken place.
If you find an incorrect answer, explanation, British-English usage or broken activity, please send the page address and details. Corrections are made in the source and checked before publication.
Free access
Interactive exercises provide immediate feedback, while discussion resources can be printed for classroom or personal practice.
