A spontaneous decision (also called a "quick decision") is when you decide to do something at the moment of speaking — you did not plan it before. We always use "will" (or the short form "'ll") for these decisions, never "going to." For example: someone offers you tea and you say, "I'll have coffee, please" (you decided just now). If someone drops their shopping, you say, "I'll help you" (you decided at that moment). Compare: "I'm going to visit my grandmother on Saturday" (you already planned this). The key test is: did you decide before this conversation, or right now? If you decided right now, always use "will."

For questions, put "will" before the subject: "Will you help me?" "Will it rain tomorrow?" "When will they arrive?" For short answers, say "Yes, I will" or "No, I won't" — never "Yes, I'll" (the short form is not used in short answers). For negatives, add "not" after "will": "I will not forget" or use the short form "I won't forget." The short form "won't" is much more common in spoken English. Note that "will" never changes with the subject — it is the same for I, you, he, she, it, we, and they. This makes it one of the easiest future forms to learn.
